Smriti Mandhana wins ICC Women Cricketer of the Year 2025 after scoring 1,452 international runs at an average of 68.2.
Smriti Mandhana was named the ICC Women Cricketer of the Year for 2025, recognising a season of outstanding consistency in which she scored 1,452 runs across all international formats at an average of 68.2. The award spans her performances across ICC Women World Cup qualifiers, bilateral series against England and Australia, and the ICC Women Championship. Mandhana became the first batter from any country to score centuries in five consecutive bilateral series in a calendar year. ICC CEO Geoff Allardice cited her technique, footwork against pace, and ability to anchor a chase under pressure as qualities that set her apart. Mandhana also led Run-a-Thon, a grassroots cricket participation drive that enrolled 400,000 girls across 12 Indian states in the sport for the first time during 2025.
