India men hockey team won the Asian Champions Trophy in Rajgir, Bihar, completing the tournament with a perfect record of seven wins from seven matches, conceding only two goals across the competition. The final against Pakistan ended 4-0, with Harmanpreet Singh scoring a hat-trick from drag flicks — his sixth hat-trick for India in international hockey. India also broke the tournament record for goals scored in a single edition, netting 38 across seven matches. The home crowd of 38,000 at the newly constructed Rajgir Hockey Stadium created an electric atmosphere that players credited as a decisive factor. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced Rs 1 crore in prize money for each player. The win significantly boosted India ranking and confidence ahead of the Paris 2028 Olympic qualification pathway.
