Hyderabad confirmed for the Formula E World Championship in 2026, with Mahindra Racing to unveil its new car at the home race.
The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship confirmed the return of Hyderabad as a round on the 2026 calendar, with the street circuit race scheduled to run along a redesigned 2.8-kilometre route through the HITEC City financial district. The announcement followed successful negotiations between the FIA, the Telangana government, and Formula E Operations. The race will be the only Formula E event in South Asia and is expected to draw 80,000 spectators across two race days. Telangana Chief Minister announced a Rs 75 crore investment to upgrade the temporary circuit infrastructure, grandstands, and fan zones. Mahindra Racing, the only Indian team in Formula E, confirmed it will unveil its new Gen3 Evo car at the Hyderabad launch event, giving home fans a first glimpse of the machine ahead of its competitive debut.
