Djokovic wins a record 25th Grand Slam at Roland Garros, defeating Alcaraz 4 sets in a final for the ages.

Novak Djokovic extended his own Grand Slam record to 25 titles by winning his fourth consecutive Roland Garros crown, defeating Spain world number two Carlos Alcaraz 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in a final that highlighted the generational tension between the ageless champion and his heir apparent. Djokovic, 38, became the first man to win a Grand Slam at every age from 17 to 38, a feat that statisticians describe as without precedent in professional sports. The victory ended a heated rivalry run in which Alcaraz had defeated Djokovic at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2024. The Croatian born Serb received a standing ovation lasting over four minutes from the Centre Court audience before delivering an emotional speech in French honouring Paris as his second home. Djokovic has now won Roland Garros four times, Wimbledon seven times, the Australian Open ten times, and the US Open four times.
