Alcaraz wins a third consecutive Wimbledon title, defeating Djokovic in a five-set final for the ages at 22 years old.

Carlos Alcaraz claimed his third consecutive Wimbledon title in London, defeating Novak Djokovic 7-5, 6-7, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 in an epic five-set final that lasted over four hours and produced some of the finest grass-court tennis in the Open Era. Alcaraz, 22, became the youngest player to win Wimbledon three times, a feat that previously took Roger Federer until the age of 29. The match was finely balanced through four sets before Alcaraz broke in the 10th game of the fifth to seal the title. Djokovic, competing at his 24th Wimbledon, received a lengthy standing ovation as he left the court in what many commentators suggested may be his final Wimbledon final appearance. Alcaraz is the first player since Federer to win Wimbledon in three consecutive years and has now won six Grand Slam titles by the age of 22.
