Apple Intelligence Gains Real-Time Language Translation in iOS 19

Apple released iOS 19, centred on major advances in its Apple Intelligence AI platform, most notably a real-time live translation feature embedded at the system level that can translate conversations, video calls, and on-screen text in 32 languages simultaneously without sending audio to the cloud. The feature runs entirely on the A19 Bionic chip neural engine, ensuring that spoken conversations remain private and are never stored or transmitted. Apple also introduced a Personal Context Engine in iOS 19 that connects the AI to calendar events, emails, messages, and contacts to generate hyper-personalised suggestions and automate routine tasks. Indian users gain support for nine Indian languages in Apple Intelligence for the first time, including Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Odia. The update also features an AI-generated daily briefing summarising overnight news, messages, and schedule conflicts each morning.
