Biography
The House & The Mandate
From Castile and the Canaries to the Americas, the family’s pattern is conservative growth through institutions. Hacienda de La Vega (c. 1590) and Banco Caracas (1890) are shorthand for that operating manual: order first; then innovation.
Formation & Early Career
International schooling (UK, Switzerland), university in Venezuela, then markets: Multinvest Casa de Bolsa; board role at the Caracas Stock Exchange through 1998; CEO of Transbanca at 27, expanding and modernizing holdings.
Building Institutions
Reacquisitions (e.g., Banco Real; Banreal International Bank), then Bancredito (2009), Consultiva acquisition (2016), Britannia Wealth (2012) → Britannia Financial Group (2016), with FCA‑authorized brokerage via Britannia Global Markets and derivatives through Berkley Futures.
Operating Philosophy
Documentation before decision, liquidity before growth, measured tempo over momentum. The aim is endurance—institutions that clients trust across cycles.
