From strike threat to flexibility, Trump eases Hormuz condition in Iran war

The U.S. is signalling a shift in its approach to the Iran conflict. After warning on March 30 that it could strike Iran’s civilian infrastructure if Tehran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. President Donald Trump has now told aides he is willing to end the military campaign even if the key shipping route remains largely closed.
