Fenway Park's Weather Delay BOSTON (AP) — Due to a rain prediction, the Boston Red Sox postponed the start of Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers by three hours. Fenway Park's opening pitch is now set at 4:35 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for 1:35 p.m. Due to a forecast of rain from mid-day into the afternoon, the team claimed it conferred with Major League Baseball. Better weather is anticipated later in the afternoon, and the later start "offers the best opportunity to play the game on Sunday."

The first two games of the four-game series have been split between the clubs, and Monday's final game will begin on Patriots Day morning in Boston.
